Chorus Terms of Service

Effective date: August 16, 2026

This version adds self-serve account deletion, says what happens to unused respondents when an account closes, and records that Stripe emails a receipt for each purchase.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Chatb2b LLC, a Delaware limited liability company (“Chorus,” “we,” “us”), the operator of chorusb2b.com and the Chorus service. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using Chorus on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind that company, and “you” means that company.

1. What Chorus Is

Chorus lets you connect your own AI assistant to our platform (via an MCP connection endpoint) to design and run message-testing studies. The “respondents” in those studies are simulated: they are AI-generated synthetic personas, not real people. Chorus produces simulated research results, not survey data from human participants. Section 9 explains what that means for how you should rely on the results.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Chorus. The service is built for business use: signup requires a work email address, and we may refuse or close accounts registered with personal email domains.

3. Your Account

  • Accurate information. Provide a real, working email address that you control.
  • Credentials. You are responsible for everything done through your account. Keep your password confidential.
  • Your connection link is a key. Your account includes a personal connection link containing a secret token that lets an AI assistant act as you on Chorus, which includes running studies and spending your respondent balance. Treat it like a password: do not publish it, commit it to shared repositories, or paste it into tools you don’t trust. If you believe it has been exposed, reset it from your dashboard (the old link stops working immediately), or contact us so we can replace it.
  • Sessions. Signing in sets a session cookie that lasts until you sign out, reset your password, we revoke it, or you close the browser; sign out on shared machines.
  • One account per person/entity unless we agree otherwise in writing.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • break the law, or use Chorus to help anyone else break the law;
  • present Chorus results as responses from real human beings, whether to clients, in publications, in advertising claims, or anywhere else, including quoting a simulated response, or citing a count of simulated responses, without identifying it as simulated (see Section 9);
  • use Chorus to generate, test, or refine content that is fraudulent, deceptive, defamatory, or designed to harass or exploit people;
  • probe, disrupt, or overload the service, bypass usage limits or the respondent balance, or access other customers’ data or accounts;
  • share, sell, or rotate access to a single account or connection link across people or organizations to avoid paying for the service;
  • reverse engineer the platform or use it to build a directly competing simulated-respondent product;
  • upload content you don’t have the right to use (see Section 8).

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.

5. Respondent Balance

  • Chorus meters usage in simulated respondents. Running a study draws down your account’s respondent balance.
  • New accounts receive a free starting balance.
  • You can buy more respondents in three fixed prepaid packs, at the price posted when you pay. The current packs are 2,500 respondents for US $99, 7,500 respondents for US $249, and 20,000 respondents for US $549.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe emails you a receipt for each purchase, and a link to that receipt also appears on your account billing page. We never receive or store your card number.
  • Respondent balances are prepaid usage credits, not money: they have no cash value and are non-transferable. They are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise, or under §10's pro rata unused-purchased refund if we discontinue or terminate without cause.
  • Respondent balances do not expire while your account remains open.
  • If you turn on private content mode, each study uses 1.3× respondents, rounded up. That is a usage multiplier, not a separate purchase.
  • Prices and any applicable taxes are as posted at the time of purchase.
  • We may change the free starting balance for new accounts at any time; changes are not retroactive to balances already granted.

6. Service Availability

Chorus is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uptime, that studies will complete, or that the service will be error-free. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We depend on third-party infrastructure and AI model providers, and their outages can affect us. We will make reasonable efforts to preserve your study history, but you should export anything you cannot afford to lose.

7. Intellectual Property

  • Yours. You own your study inputs (personas, marketing messages, questions and study plans) and your study outputs (results, reports). You grant us a license to host, process, store, transmit, and analyze that content as needed to run the service for you and to improve the service. That includes sending study content to the AI model providers that power the simulated respondents (see the Privacy Policy).
  • Ours. Chorus owns the platform: the software, the simulation and scoring methodology, the site, and our branding. These Terms grant you no rights in any of that beyond using the service.
  • How we use your content. We may use your content and usage information to operate and improve the product. We never share your messaging, study designs, or survey results with any third party for that party’s own use. No selling, no advertising use, no disclosure to other customers. The AI model providers and infrastructure vendors described in the Privacy Policy process your content on our behalf, under our instructions, solely to deliver the service; that is processing for us, not sharing with them.
  • Feedback. If you send us suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.

8. Your Content Responsibilities

You are responsible for the content you submit. That includes anything your connected AI assistant submits on your behalf. Confirm you have the rights to use it, and do not submit other people’s personal data or confidential information you are not authorized to share.

9. Simulated Results: Read This

Chorus results are simulated. Responses are generated by AI models role-playing personas that you define. They are not answers from real customers, and they have not been validated against real-world outcomes for your specific use.

  • Results may be wrong, biased, inconsistent between runs, or systematically different from what real people would say.
  • Open-text responses read like customer quotes; they are not. If you quote or excerpt a simulated response anywhere, including in a summary, a slide, a report, or a deck, you must label it as simulated in that document itself, not only in surrounding context. The same applies to counts (“N of 300 respondents said…”): name the simulation as the subject of the count, or state the theme without a number.
  • Chorus is a directional research and ideation tool. Do not rely on it for decisions that require validated accuracy. That includes financial, legal, medical, safety, regulatory, or compliance decisions, or any claim you make to third parties that requires substantiation.
  • You are solely responsible for decisions you make using Chorus outputs.

10. Termination

  • By you. You may stop using Chorus at any time. You can delete your account yourself from the Data tab of your account page. You can also email james@chatb2b.com and we will close it.
  • By us. We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms (including the Acceptable Use rules in §4), for legal reasons, or if we discontinue the service. Where practical, we will give notice.
  • Unused respondents. If you close your own account, or we terminate it because you breached these Terms, remaining free and purchased respondents are forfeited. If we discontinue the service, or we terminate your account without cause, we refund unused purchased respondents pro rata. The free starting balance is never refunded as cash.
  • On any termination, your right to use the service ends immediately.
  • Data handling after account closure is described in the Privacy Policy: the customer footprint is deleted immediately; purchase and ledger records survive with the person unlinked (see Privacy Policy §6).

11. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Section 9’s disclaimer about simulated results is part of this section.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law: (a) we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill; and (b) our total liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the service is capped at the greater of (i) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (ii) US $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places, these limits apply to the maximum extent allowed.

13. Indemnification

You will defend and indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your content, your use of the service in violation of these Terms, or decisions you or your organization made in reliance on simulated results, except to the extent the claim results from our own breach of these Terms.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. For material changes we will give notice (for example, by email to your account address or a notice in the product) before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Chorus after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the service and ask us to close your account.

15. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and both sides consent to that venue.

16. Miscellaneous

These Terms plus the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between us about the service. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest still stands. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
